Yes, it's a little darker than I was prepared for, but that's because I'm used to having to guess with other home hair colors. The dark brown turned out to be... well, dark. After three washes, it eased a bit and hasn't faded since.

I used the bowl and brush method, not trusting myself to squeeze evenly. I thought a "demi" color would mean it would fade faster. It didn't. I was skeptical that it would cover evenly, given that I was going over bare root, (30% grey), two different home hair colors, and a salon job. It covered evenly and perfectly. Smelled fine, easy to use, but the most amazing thing of all is the astounding shine. It is the equivalent to my previous salon jobs that were both color and then a Cellophane Laminate over the top. I even went to get a trim and my hairdresser admitted being impressed and gave her approval. And I'm in LA! So friggin' shiny, for the first time I'm not wishing I had highlights, I actually HAVE highlights.

I love this line but, as others have said, the color is darker than the name would lead you to believe. For a medium brown, choose dark blonde. You can always go darker if you need to so err on the side of too light. Other than that the colors are very nice, there's no nasty smell, the shine is amazing and coverage (I have gray roots with dark brown) is outstanding and even. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

I have been using L'oreal and La Feria hair color products. Tried Umberto Hair color product. I liked the way it looked before putting on my hair. Has a very pleasant scent as well. The color is amazing and my hair looks and feels REALLY good. The best way to use the product is to empty it into a plastic mixing bowl, then apply to your hair. I am also using Umberto's hair products, which are also EXCELLENT. I especially like the Roman Oil Serum.

I bought this product through another retailer. The color did turn out darker than I expected, but this is made up for how nice it came out. I am very pleased with the color. I have tried many different brands and this is my favorite. I couldn't have asked for better results.

Nice and convenient because everything is already ready.. I do not recommend to cut and apply the three envelopes to the scalp because there is no real way to control the three envelopes to flow out at the same amounts, better to pour into a bowl, mix and then apply with a brush..
