I love this mascara. I got no flakes that came off and no clumps. One thing i would have loved to know before i bought this mascara is that it does come in a non-curved brush formula.

I started using this mascara many moons ago, when it was probably $5.00, and our options were far more limited! I was a teenager, but you know, when you find something you really like why mess with it? Over the years my eyes have become very dry from allergies and other things and I just can't tolerate mascara, but when I do wear it, I always go back to CoverGirl Professional All in One Black Mascara, and it has to be the curved brush! I find the curved brush gives me just enough curl to show off my long lashes, but not so much that my lashes touch the skin above my lids. I also find this is the only mascara I can count on that will NOT clump. I've tried other mascaras just for fun, but very few don't clump. CoverGirl Pro never clumps! Not only that, it's the ONLY mascara I've come across which separates really well.

Over all this mascara is a great value! It curls, lengthens, separates,and doesn't clump. I've been using it for years, I've tried other mascaras, even much more expensive mascaras and years, and for me, it can't be beat!

Ordered a set of three and when i used the first one about 4 days after receiving it, it seems half dried up already. Didn't open the other two yet. Trying to get as much use out of this one. I have to dip it in for each set of lashes, dip for the top, dip for the bottom and then again on the other eye, plus I have to redip all over again to put a second coat on because it's so "dried up". Will not order this again, I plan on trying a maybelline product next time through amazon.
