If you are on a tight budget and/or beginner like I am, this is perfect. I am chocolate brown complexion and the colors picked up on my skin color very well. I have not fully used it just testing some colors. They were very bright and shimmery but can be tamed down if need to. They picked up well on my new Coastal Scent brushes also. I recommend this palette for first time users. No it's not a Coastal Scents palette, but it can work equally to it. The eyeshawdow did not break and the package came in nice and tight.
