I've been using this brush for over 2 years. I'm not sure how long you're supposed to replace your brushes, but I wash mine, so I think that would be hygienic enough. I've washed it many times, with baby soap, and it comes good as new every time. It is so soft on your face, the brush is thick, and it doesn't not lose any of it's fullness or softness as time goes by. It's a little expensive, I bought this in the store with the matching concealer brush to use for my bare minerals. Much better than the bare mineral brushes.

I really like this brush. It picks up powder great and it feels very soft on your skin. I have tried washing it and was worried at the way it looked after I was done, but once it dried out, it was good as new again. I love the little mini-brush it comes with. It fits inside my compact perfectly (this would not work for a thin compact). I would highly recommend.
