Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I will try to be delicate with this review, so as not to offend anyone. How best to put this..? My wife is a big fan of this Bodygroom, and not because she ever uses it (she doesn't), but because I do.. In some of her favorite places.
I like it too, and not just because of the special attention I get as a result of using it. I like it because it's efficient (the cradle is awesome. It's always charged, and always out of the way) and because it doesn't hurt me when I use it in delicate places. A daily buzz with this thing ensures that I get lots of attention from my wife. It trims and shaves without being abrasive. It can handle beards, but it's really not meant for that. It works best on less-course hair, or at least hair that isn't as concentrated. Yes, you hairy bears could use it to shave your back if you wanted to, but it would take a while. This is best used in areas like chest, and -ahem"bikini area" that have less dense hair growth.
You do have to be careful with the trimming edges on certain parts of your body. They can give you a good pinch if you're not careful. But that's far better than constantly exposing your delicate nether-regions to a razor blade, isn't it guys?
Yes, I know... You're thinking I'm some metrosexual nancy-boy. Go ahead. My girl likes my smooth skin in her favorite places, and I like the special treatment I get because of it.
Also, as Doctor Evil said, you really must try it: It's breathtaking.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program There are many body groomers on the market, and with it's many offerings, Philips Norelco has several to choose from. The latest Philips Norelco model priced at $39.99 puts it smack in the middle of it's bodygroom product line. What makes shopping difficult is that the descriptions all begin to sound the same, leaving the buyer without a clear understanding as to why they would buy a higher-priced model. So looking at past reviews can shed some light.Based on previous Amazon reviews the typical complaints with past Philips Norelco body groomers have revolved around the collapsing of the trimming combs (resulting in only the closest shave option working), charging stand issues (flimsy, not travel easy), and sharp unguarded edges.
This new BG2028/42 body groomer seems to address those issues. The trimming combs snap into place easily and they stay put. The charging stand is not collapsible so it's not flimsy, and the groomer stands firmly in place as it charges. Granted, because it doesn't collapse, it isn't as easy to pack, but it's profile is still responsibly travel worthy. After using this model, EVERYWHERE, rough edges was not an issue at all. Both my husband and I used the groomer without any cuts, rashes (ugly red spots), or raw spots developing.
Just to clarify, yes I know this body groomer is designed for men, but I wanted to give it a try to see if I could get out of having to pay the outlandishly expensive price that the five blade manual razorblades cost me for a close shave. The result was that I got a five blade close shave, and I didn't have to avoid water to do it. While my husband prefers the dry approach, I like shaving in the shower. So this model satisfied both methods. The one draw back for me was that it takes more time, as you must move slower over the skin to get that close shave. The benefit comes with the smoothness of the shave without red bumps and angry skin.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The Philips Norelco BG2028/42 Bodygroom is a cordless below the neck shaver designed to keep unwanted body hair in check. It's the entry level trimmer in the Philips BG (Bodygroom) series. I began shaving my head at a very early age in life so I've owned plenty of electric hair trimmers and clippers over the years. I also have extremely sensitive skin so using any shaver, electric or manual, is generally an uncomfortable experience. They've made a lot of shaving advancements over the years and the Philips Norelco BG2028/42 Bodygroom is a pretty good example of that. Here are my thoughts;Pros
+ Water resistant and can be used in the shower as well as with foams and gels.
+ 3 different length comb guards.
+ Foil and dual blades are hypoallergenic.
+ Self sharpening blades.
+ Handy cleaning brush, charging stand and AC Adaptor.
+ Does a great job of trimming thick or longer hair.
+ Sturdy construction.
+ 2 year warranty.
Cons
Not always effective for very close shaving or when used on wet hair in the shower.
No carrying or storage case for accessories.
Long charge time, short battery life.
Somewhat noisy.
Overall, the Philips Norelco BG2028/42 Bodygroom is a pretty solid shaver. It's powerful and does a good job of removing thick topical hair. Great for sculpting and keeping heavy growth areas under control, this is a handy trimmer to have around. However, with my sensitive skin I did notice some irritation when using it, even with shaving gel. But, minor redness aside, it's one of the better non-facial trimmers I've used in a while.
Honest reviews on Philips Norelco BG2028 Bodygroom
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I guess I misunderstood the nature of this bodygrooming tool when I ordered it and also think that it doesn't quite do what it says it does so I thought it might be helpful for someone like me to say what I thought it was and what it really is. I thought it was designed to give a close shave below the neck for either men or women. It turns out, it's really just designed to trim back long body hair on men. Think of it as a lawnmower for body hair it's a bit more of a blunt instrument than I was expecting. It's not aimed at close shaving, but rather even trimming, and as it stands it would be most useful for a very hairy man who wants to tame things a bit rather than for the average man who wants to "manscape."It comes with three sizes of comb, and you're advised not to use it without a comb. Given that, I would have preferred if they'd built the comb in to the apparatus, and designed a mechanism for adjusting its length. This one doesn't come with a carrying case so you're stuck with loose comb parts to keep track of unless you supply your own carrying case to put them all in. Even the shortest comb doesn't give a very close trim and in my case, given that I'm not extremely hairy, left most of my chest and belly hair intact without trimming it much at all. You're warned never to use it on facial hair though I did try it on my goatee and it works fine there. I also tried it on a small patch of hair with the combs removed and, while it didn't give a close shave, it did do a decent job there of trimming things back fairly close. I imagine that for someone who wants to remove all of their body hair this would do a good job on a first pass, to be followed up with a straight razor. Still, there are other tools that would do a better job if that was the primary intention. As far as I can tell, this tool would only really be useful for the very hairy man who wants to "mow the lawn" every few days. Since I'm not that hairy and since even on its closest setting this doesn't trim much for me I didn't find it to be very useful.
