I bought this product a couple years ago at target. This Christmas I received a new compact of Pixi Vitamin Veil. I thought it was great when I used it before, but I think my memory cast a rosy glow on an otherwise, very average product. I have trouble finding foundation that matches my pale skin, but this is even a little light for me. It blends poorly, and unless you apply very sparingly it appears powdery. That said, the virtue of this product is its ability to hide redness. It is better as a spot treatment for blemishes, dabbed on until the blemish disappears. Over an entire face, the results can be garish.Best Deals on Pixi Beauty Flawless Vitamin Veil 0.35 oz.
I previous rated this foundation highly, but now after wearing it a few more times, I feel quite differently. I did not exfoliate before applying this, but it looked like my face was so dry after it 'set up'. It settled into pores, lines, and created an overall unflattering appearance on the skin. My face does not feel dry, it just looks it with this stuff. I checked my face about 30 min after applying it (outside in natural daylight), and 'oh my'! I used the Pixi Flawles Beauty Primer first, then applied the foundation with a 'buffing' type brush. I have heard that these type brushes can stir things up on the skin (read: micro-exfoliate), but this was extreme.Bottom line: Maybe this would be better for normal-oily skin types, not my normal-dry skin.
