This is a concentrated multi-use product that is so well matched to my skin! I use the 03 which is fair w/beige undertone. Prior to using this product, you should prep your face with a good moisturizer. It is best to use brushes with this product so if you use as a concealer, a small concealer brush is best (especially for the under eye area). You can also use as a highlighter, and of course as a foundation, controlling the opacity with the amount you use (I use a foundation brush, rather than a sponge). Wonderful product. You may think it is expensive, but when you realize that a little does go a long way, it is priced fairly.

I bought this little pot of magic initially at Neiman Marcus. Running out & much to my dismay NM no longer carries it. So glad to find it on Amazon supplied by The Derm Store!! Worried I wasn't going to be able to find it again so I purchased two which should last me a very, very long time. This small pot, used every day lasted me almost 2 years! The texture is amazing, very creamy & moist. I use it under eye to mid cheek to cover slight rosacea redness on my fair skin. I blend it both over foundation or alone over moisturizer & sun screen. If I was only allowed one item of makeup this little pot would be it!! Love, love, love!! I am very fair skinned and found SXO5 to blend well with my skin tone.

I was intrigued by the reviews but was having a difficult time selecting the color. I googled & went to the K. Aucoin website and found color matching information more helpful. It is true that you need to practice a few times the right amount product & mix with moisturizer. But when you do get it right (3rd try) it is definitely worth it. I use philosphy skin care & use a bit of the moisturizer + capsules + tiniest bit of this product. I'm very self-conscious about my makeup due to redness, etc. I'm very satisfied with the results, and will purchase again.

Being "pasty white", I have a very difficult time matching foundation and concealer to my skin. It's so difficult, in fact, I have tried just about every label under the sun! I usually opt for the lightest shade available (most turning out to be too pink or too yellow in undertone), hoping for the best and this is the first time I've actually felt like a product was MADE FOR ME (I use the SX 01).

For heavy coverage and a finished look, I use a small concealer brush. On lighter days when I want a more natural appearance, I dab a bit on in my problem areas with my fingertips. Moisturizer truly is a MUST prior to using this product, especially if used as an all-over foundation. Without, product is left streaky, dry and is absorbed unevenly. Personally, I use this product as more of a concealer on a regular basis. For the longest time I was using different products all over my face: Bobbi Brown Touch Up Stick on blemishes and uneven patches, YSL Touch Eclat around my eyes and whichever foundation was matching best for a particular season...NO MORE! The Sensual Skin Enhancer works WONDERS on the dark circles under my eyes. Nothing has ever made my eye area so bright and even in pigmentation!

I've found the Sensual Skin Enhancer to be so awesome that I rarely use my Kevyn Aucoin Air Brush foundation. Don't be fooled by thet "trial size" appearance, a little bit truly does go a long way. I've had this small jar longer than any bottle of foundation and it's much more travel-friendly.

For online shoppers who cannot test this product at a makeup counter, I would suggest checking out the manufacturer's website for a better idea of which color to choose based on the undertones of your skin.

With the SX 01 shade, for me, I found that it is quite comparable to the Bobbi Brown Touch up Stick in Alabaster (except you can use The Sensual Skin Enhancer around your EYES).

As long as this product is made, I will NOT use anything else anymore. I recommend it to all of my friends & family!!!

This is hands down the best foundation/concealer I have ever used. I have very problematic skin and this little gem takes care of all of my issues. It covers my acne wonderfully and well as evening out my areas of redness. Don't be put off by the smallness of the jar in comparison to the price. A little really does go a long way! When I first used it, I was afraid it would be too heavy because it looks so thick in the jar. However, once I started applying it, I found out quickly that it takes very little to do the job. You can make it as thin or thick as you like. I use a foundation brush when I am applying it to my entire face and just use my ring finger for spot concealer. Moisturizer is the key to making this stuff work like magic though. I have always had a hard time getting foundations to match my skin tone but the #5 works perfect for me. I have very pale skin with yellow undertones and this nails it. I honestly can not say enough good things about this stuff. I am a lifelong customer at this point.
