Having worn mascara for over 30 years, I have tried just about every WATERPROOF mascara. I have used department store brands as expensive as $30 a pop. Many of them are good, but some are just plain hype.

Here is what I look for in a waterproof mascara:

1) I have short lashes and use an eyelash curler. Mascara MUST adhere to the curls and not make them droopy.

2) Mascara must lengthen and make eyes POP!

3) Mascara must wear all day, not smudge or run

4) Mascara must be waterproof and hold up after a workout or getting caught in the rain

5) Mascara can not irritate my contact lenses

6) Mascara should not get clumpy

This mascara delivers on all these counts. It really is that good. I would say the only better waterproof is Lancome Eternicils, but that is 5 times the price.

The only downside is that this mascara is soooo waterproof that you will need an oil based remover to take it off.

Love this mascara. I hope CG continues to produce it.

Well, after months of trying to find a suitable replacement for the now defunct Cover Girl Marathon Mascara (oh, how I would love to see that green tube again), this is the closest I can find. One thing about this version though--it seems every tube I get starts out a little dry and lackluster for 2-3 weeks and then for some reason it seems to come to life after that. Could be me, but I am on about the 6th tube of it and they have all been that way. So if you don't like it in the beginning, hang on a little longer. It will never be as good as the Marathon mascara, but its the closest thing I've found.

Bought this for a beach trip to Puerto Rico. I no longer look that good without any makeup at the beach. While I haven't yet used it at the beach, I have used at home on some humid, muggy days when I was perspiring a lot. It stayed on and did not run. It also washes off pretty well with soap and water, although a little regular eye make-up remover will help, too. It's a good product for the price. I still prefer regular mascara most of the time, but this is good for those times when I don't want to worry about my mascara disappearing or smearing around my eyes. And I prefer this to those waterproof mascaras that don't want to ever come off without industrial-strength make-up removers.

waterproof. I think with a little mineral oil, as I do with most waterproof mascaras when it gets a little thick. I like this product because it is truly waterproof...swimming etc. I remove with mineral oil.
