What a disappointment! Sorry to say that everything you don't want in a mascara is in this silver tube. Called 3D Extreme it is indeed extreme over the top in gobs and clumps.
When I first pulled the wand out it was covered with clumps which, of course, wound up on my lashes. The actual brush is only a distant relative to the brush pictured on the card, and it is way too short.
While I certainly understand that every manufacturer is interested in selling his/her product. I'd also like to see the claims made at least have some connection to reality. The claims for this mascara? "25X Fuller" (Only if you mean made fatter by clumping). "70% Curvier" (Excuse me?) "80% Visibly Longer Lashes" (No way!)
It does wash off easily (thank goodness.)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Like many women, I am always on the lookout for that `perfect' mascara. The one that goes on with ease, washes off even easier, doesn't smudge, flake, clump, while making our lashes look miles long and impossibly thick. I still haven't found the perfect mascara for me, although Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara covers several of those qualities.I've recently tried Loreal Telescopic Mascara, Black 0.27 Oz/ Pack, 3 Ea, which I didn't care for so much, mostly due to the wand and brush. I have been using L'OREAL LONGITUDE Lash Out LENGTHENING & SEPARATING Mascara (Straight Brush), Soft Black for years, and like it immensely. It fulfills all of my requirements above. Yet, when I used Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara, I think that my lashes looked a bit thicker and stood out more.
I loved the design of the brush for Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara. It has an unusually shaped brush that seems to add a little `oomph' to the lashes when used to apply this mascara. While a straight brush (which I prefer), it is a bit thicker in the middle. I have no idea why this makes a difference, but it certainly kicks my lashes up a notch.
The mascara formula itself meets my needs as well it wears well, doesn't smudge or flake, and although not waterproof, it stood the ultimate test when I recently read a tearjerker and no mascara ran down my face with my tears.
The only thing that causes me to rate Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara a 4 instead of a 5 is the tube itself, more specifically, the mouth of the tube. I am used to mascara tubes having a more narrow mouth, which serves well to scrape the excess mascara off of the brush as you pull it from the tube. Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara tube is much too wide at the mouth, and provides no scraping as you pull it from the tube. Instead, the user must spend time manually scraping the mascara from the brush before applying it, leaving clumps of mascara all around the mouth. This one factor has caused me considerable pause as I deliberate whether to return to my old standby, the L'OREAL LONGITUDE Lash Out LENGTHENING & SEPARATING Mascara (Straight Brush), Soft Black, or switch to the Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara.
In the end, the formula and the brush have won me over, at least for my next mascara purchase. Combine these two qualities with the fact that the Revlon brand sells in my neighborhood grocery store while Loreal does not, and the ease of procurement swings my vote as well. Will I continue to use the Revlon offering long-term? Maybe. Right now I think it is likely. But it is also likely I will tire of the scraping and either switch back to the Loreal or try a new mascara altogether. My fervent hope is that Revlon improves the design of the tube for their Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara, affording me that `perfect' mascara I have been longing for.

Honest reviews on Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara, 0.21-Ounce (Pack of 2)
Clumpy, clumpy, clumpy. I don't know who thinks up these designs. The applicator brush has an odd shape. I don't know if it's too flat or too small. This makes it difficult to apply without start clumping too quick. I have managed to get my lashes decently made but only if I take my time to apply the mascara. Otherwise they become spider legs. I also need an extra brow/eyelash tool handy to separate my lashes in case they start sticking. Not for people that want quick make up put on or girls with little patience. R3D does make my lashes somewhat longer but only after all the work.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara, 0.21-Ounce (Pack of 2)
It is pretty goopey I was sent the non-waterproof #602 in black by Amazon's Vine program to review.Update July 2008: I thought for the price when it first came out it was pricey but it has since dropped and now is more competitively priced.
The case is pretty, the brush is excellent for me, as I love small brushes to get the hard to reach lashes, but the product is clumpy. If applied sparingly and with a bit of practice, you can get a satisfactory result, but there was nothing significantly superior to other brands on the market :(
