Once you use higher-end eyeshadows you'll never want to use drugstore brands (almay (crap), covergirl, loreal, etc) again. I'm also a big fan of Smashbox, MAC, and Chanel. The pigment is better, the application is smoother, and there is just higher concentration of pigment. The only drugstore makeup items that are worth it is mascaras.
A tip: throw out the cheap little applicators that come in compacts. You should only be using eyeshadow brushes.
Note that with this palate, the colors do have sparkle in them. They are best worn for night-time due to the high shimmer.
