I have twenty different Butter London colors. I love some more than others. Fairy Lights is a nice foil pinkish color. As for the other reviewer she did hit the nail on the head. All BL's colors must be worn with a top coat. They don't have all the toxic stuff in it (They are called 3Free). The bad chemicals that give nail polish its smell also is what makes it hard. So by not having this stuff you need to use something to give it that hardness. I personally use Butter London's Top Coat and Foundation.

This color with one base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat lasts about a week (on my hands). I have had other colors that last longer and when I put color on my toe nails they tend to last a whole month.

The color isn't as purple as it appears on screen. It's a bit darker and less vibrant. It also doesn't dry very hard.

My first bottle of butter LONDON nail polish is a gorgeous mauve-pink shade with pearlescent/metallic overtones. The bottle wouldn't open until I saw that it was sealed with a special sticker and you have to pull off the cute rectangular top to get at the real top that unscrews to reveal the brush. Clever! Also no leaks.

The polish goes on like the name states, like butter. I used O.P.I. Natural Nail Base Coat, then two coats of the polish, topped off by O.P.I. Rapid Dry Top Coat. Because the butter LONDON polish self-levels very nicely, a rather quickly-done manicure looks like a much more professional job. The long, specially shaped brush for the polish worked really well to apply it.

I definitely will be trying more shades of butter London!

Because it is missing all the deadly chemicals that make polish good (oxymoron?) it doesn't cover as well. I only tried the one color and it was a lot of work to get a good look. I am sad because I no longer use nail color due to all the stuff in it so was hoping this might be a viable answer.

The color just makes me sleepy when I look at it on my nails. It isn't here nor there; a translucent wash of nothing and some sparkles.
