I'm amazed that a product at this price point can compete with the department store brands but it does. I can't tell the difference. I've been using yellow based makeup products for years as they are more natural looking on your face but I've been shelling out big bucks for them. This stuff is twice the size of the department store brand at a fraction of the price. I've used several e.l.f. Products lately, including their brushes, and they are top quality. If they would just come out with a cream foundation I'd be a total convert! At this price it's sure worth a try.I am a mature woman with normal to dry skin and very few wrinkles so if it works for me it should work for anyone.

e.l.f. Studio High Definition Loose Face Powder is an absolute must to try. I've used it with a light touch over foundation and blush and the effect is quite nice. It does not seem to settle in to lines and give any sort of chalky look, but a fresh kind of smoothness. At any price, this is a good cosmetic. I have sometimes added an extra bit of my regular powder over this, and the look is excellent -makes your pores begin to disappear. This stuff is the finishing touch that both sets my makeup and erases any last traces of those annoying imperfections while giving a wonderful soft focus effect. To answer some questions I had before I received this item... It does not have a shimmer to it and it is extremely fine and a little bit goes a long way. I would recommend skipping the puff that comes with it for a soft all over face brush. I would also warn that due to the extremely fine nature of the powder, it can get a little messy if you are not careful. Don't breathe to hard around this stuff! But the risk of creating a powder cloud in your bathroom is far outweighed by the amazing performance of this product. E.L.F. has it listed as six dollars on their website. If you are planning to get more of their products it might make sense to shop at their site rather than here. They often have deals for free shipping or other deals that can make shipping a non-issue and the end price cheaper. If this is the only product you are buying and there are no deals, amazon does have the best price I've seen.
