Pros:======> Better value than the coloring tools that I could have purchased from the Internet-based hair color company that is known for custom hair color. They offered 3 clips, 1 bowl, and 1 brush for about $10 with my purchase.
======> Colored sets are cute, and if you're using more than one color, it'd be helpful.
Cons:
======> Hair clips aren't usable. Maybe it's just me with thick hair, but the clips are all large and they don't have any teeth, so after I brush out my hair in preparation for coloring it, it's smooth and the clips just fall out of my hair. I had to use several banana clips that I had hanging around. They really need teeth, and multiple sizes would be great.
======> Bowls don't have a pour spout on them. If I want to pour the remaining color back into the bottle so I can discard it safely, or in this case the instructions tell me to put the remaining product back into the dispensing bottle for a rinse procedure, it was a little messy. A pour spout would be a nice feature. Also, a handle (like a lip on one edge of the bowl) would be helpful too for those of use who only use one bowl at a time and need a good grip on it. I think of these as mini batter bowls, so I was hoping it'd be more like those bowls in my kitchen.
With the exception of the hair clips, the bowls and brushes get the job done. I don't know if I'd buy this again. I'd probably shop individually for good clips since they make a big difference when you're sectioning hair, a better bowl, and a brush. It'd be worth paying a little more even if I only get 1 bowl and 1 brush. I only need 1 of each anyway. I'll stick with this set for now though.
