When Max Factor moved its marketing out of the US and stopped producing its long-lasting Lashfinity, I was damn near inconsolable. Okay, maybe not inconsolable but I was colorless. In fact, I am always colorless. Being a splinter group of Caucasian (not my choice, BTW) I can best be described as a Pale Blue Person. Other than some annoyingly placed, unbleachable freckles, some "eh?" brown eyebrows and teeny green eyes, I am practically transparent. Without makeup, my lips are the exact same color as my fish-belly body. It's not pretty and I am aware how much help I really need.

This stuff does not smudge even after a very quick pre-evening out splash of water, cleanses off entirely with a bit of remover. It has neither too much fiber or texture. It's dry enough to go on smoothly and densely colored enough not to require multiple coats. If you are a mascara layering enthusiast, this is an excellent base and all you'll have to mess with is adding the special featured (longer! curlier! purple! twice as thick!) mascara over it.

So, yah: Five stars easy.

I really wanted to like this mascara as I had previously used one by L'Oreal which was a true super inky blue/black, however, L'Oreal has discontinued that product. I was hoping that the Cover Girl 24 hour blue/black mascara would be a similar color. But, no! This mascara is simply a nice navy blue and not a very dark navy blue either. The lasting power is as good as they claim, and is even difficult to remove with non-oily eye makeup remover (I had to use baby oil to remove it completely). If you are looking for a super dark (blue/black) mascara this is not it. If you just want a nice blue mascara you might like this one. I would not buy this again.

When I first put it on I loved it... it made my eyelashes look great. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get off, even with high-end makeup remover. Attempting to get it off is actually painful.

I'm that 30-something year old still looking for the perfect mascara, and this is NOT IT.

Was hopeful with the name "24 Hour", but one hour after applying it (on a cool day that didn't get above 60F) I was shocked to catch my reflection of dark smudge semi circles under my eyes. How embarrassing!

Did the classy move of spit-on-finger to remove the smudge circles, only to see them follow my paranoia and come back every time I obsessively checked my reflection the whole work day.

Waste of money. Wish I could return this.

I love covergirl's lashblast mascara!!! I have purchased all of them. The volume and length dual one is my favoite.I saw this new 24hr in an email and saw that it came in many different colors to I decided to try it. It's a good mascara just like the other lashblast. I never have a problem with mascara not lasting all day, generally it doesn't come off until I wash it off, so I'm not the best judge on it being '24hr'. I bought the black/gold color one and on the brush I can see that it's tinted gold, but when I put it on I really can't tell or see the gold in it. It just looks black to me, and bought this specifically to change up my black mascara. Oh well it's still a very good mascara.
