I too was hesitant to purchase from E.L.F. something as essential as a brush, especially for eye-makeup. However, I only needed the one brush because my old one was lost, and I had just purchased a full set of brushes not too long ago. In any case, I purchased this brush because it was so cheap, but looked like it had the potential to be worth my time.I agree that the brush has a soft yet firm bristles when apply eye-shadow. Even after washing the bristles, they return to their natural state, and are ready for use when dry. The bristles pick up the shadow evenly, and apply the shadow nicely.
This brush is a very effective tool to add to your set, even if you already have one.
