I love Olivia's ionic products. Crushed tourmaline emits negative ions which help the hair to retain moisture and not tangle. Since using ionic hair products, I have had to stop using conditioner completely, because it makes my hair greasy (and I used to have dry, tangly hair that needed a leave in conditioner!). I just shampoo and use tourmaline ionic brushes, and my hair is shiny and doesn't tangle. I use this one to give myself a blow dry- It pays for itself when I think of how much I spent on conditioners. Quick shipping, no problems.

Overall, this is a very nice brush. If you're looking for a miracle cure for frizz, let me know when you find it! In the meantime, this brush fits nicely into my collection of smoothing tools for my hair.

I have coarse, thick, frizz-prone hair and I have found that with the proper product (Morocan Oil and Fast Food leave-in conditioner), an ionic hairdryer (Babylis) and quality brushes (this one included), my hair is quite smooth and as manageable as it's ever been. I typicalIy dry the majority of my hair with just the hairdryer while running my fingers through it, then finish off the last 15-20% using the brush.

I also like the oval designallows for more styling flexibility.

I have an oval brush that I love. It's a different brand and I've been using it for many years now. It was getting old and worn, so I thought it was time to get another one just like it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere, so I decided to try this brand. In general, I think this brush is great. The quality is fine. However, the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because, if there was one thing that I would change on this brush, it would be the shape of the handle. My old oval brush had a slightly oval shaped handle. It gave me the leverage and comfort that allowed me to properly pull the brush as I dried and styled my hair. I have a little more difficulty hanging on and maneuvering this new one as I dry my hair. My arms get tired more quickly. I'm going to keep this brush in the hope that I will, eventually, get used to it because it is a good quality brush.

This is a weird brush. I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. I guess it's just me. I read the reviews, but it's not working for me as well as a regular boar's hair round brush.
