After buffing my nails too much left my nails nauseatingly thin and brittle, I bought this before and thought I would give it whirl before throwing in the towel and applying silk wraps. After two coats plus some color and top coat, my nails barely bend any more than a natural nail. Plus, it sticks well to my nail bed and doesn't chip nearly as much as other base coats. I will admit, I have dinged a couple of nails which caused a chip to come out but that has happened (more frequently, I may add) with any base coat I have tried to date. I recommend this stuff. Though my nails are short right now, my manicure has even survived guitar playing!
HOWEVER:
1.) I have had several days off work and have not been washing my hands frequently after patient care.
2.) I have not tried to remove this product yet so I have no idea how much of a beast it will be to wipe or soak off with acetone.
3.) At first it appeared streaky, so I applied 2 thick coats. Being a bit clumsy, I ended up caking it on quite thickly by my cuticles and I have done some picking at it. It will take some practice on my behalf to apply it skillfully, but that is my own error.
Otherwise, so far, so good!
