I love Smashbox eyeshadows for their full rich color, their staying-power, and their relative lack of shiny-bits, and this is the perfect size to "live" in my cosmetic bag in my luggage, ready and waiting for the next trip. I'm 59 and a brunette going less grey than I would have thought I would at this age, and these colors are just right. I use the lightest color under my eyes to conceal the dark shadows a bit (not a complete concealer, but on the other hand, I do want to look like me), the middle color on the lids and under the brows, and the darkest on my (happily dark but sadly thinning) eyebrows and in the crease of my lids. Over time, many shadows will crack or flake, but Smashbox seems to have solved that problem; you will use them up before they crack up. :-)

I use this trio for coloring in my brows, lining my eyes as well as coloring my lids. The pigmentation is great and it stays.
