Finally I had my husband buy me the actual Spa Sonic, after he admitted he bought one of these cheap imitations on amazon as a gift. He laughed it off, saying it

looked similar and he saved $15. Anyway, that one died in 2 weeks and it irritated my skin before that. Cheaper is not always good. He finally got me the real one,

after I showed him the box of my sisters Spa Sonic. This one is the real deal...so gentle on the skin, but gets all the oil and dirt out. My skin is silky smooth, and I'm very pleased. It is battery operated, but so far they have a good life...over 4 weeks and still running strong.

I was sooooo excited about getting this for Christmas! I was expecting a real spa-like experience, as it has the word "sonic" in the name. I thought that it would be using sonic vibrations like the Sonicare toothbrushes.

However, it's only just a battery-driven rotary motor like a car waxer or a home cleaner, except that it is of a much lower power. I tried it once and never wanted to use it again.

The small brush for the face kept falling off the handle. The fit was too loose. Very aggravating in the shower to have to keep stooping down to pick up. Instead of being relaxing, that made it stressful. Also, the brush was too abrasive for my face.

Next, I tried the body brush. That fit snugly and functioned well, but I found that this brush, too, was too abrasive for my body. I did not get the kind of experience that I was expecting from this product. It felt better to go back to my washcloth...it was more soothing and comfortable.

So, I do NOT recommend this product. I am searching for a better quality.
