The thought that I could buy 32 QUALITY makeup brushes for $30.00 seemed too good to be true. Nonetheless, I bought them anyway and I was right. They were not the quality brushes I expected.

The first thing I noticed when I got the package was the smell. These brushes smelled so bad that I immediately threw away the faux leather pouch they came in and threw them in hot soapy water. This helped, but the smell lingered long afterward.

As far as makeup application, aside from the 5-6 natural-haired brushes, these are your typical synthetic-bristled brushes. They are not very soft (quite hard, actually) and most of them are repeat brushes with different handle lengths. I would not recommend most of these brushes for everyday use. However, I do believe that having a cheaper-end set of makeup brushes can be beneficial to your collection. You never know when you'll need a brush for applying glitter, face paint, glue, etc., and these are a great cheaper alternative for those purposes (hence the 3-stars).

Overall, I would only recommend buying these brushes if you need them for the aforementioned reasons. Otherwise, spend the extra few dollars on a better-quality set.

I didn't have the overwhelming smell like many have mentioned. After taking out the brushes and playing with them, I have found a few that I really like, and several that I really don't. They do shed like crazy, I had to actually stop mid makeup and brush my eyelids with a fan brush to get the stray hairs away. However, $14.99 for 32 brushes doesn't exactly imply the greatest quality. I just needed something to mainly blend my eye shadow and provide a little more precision for my daily makeup application, and these will work just fine. For my foundation and blush, I either use MAC foundation brushes or my airbrush makeup set, but for blending, smudging, contouring, and buffing, these are working just fine. I don't know if I'd buy them again though, just because I'm not sure how long they'll hold up. Also, my contour brush came in with the handle missing from the brush, but a little superglue fixed it.

So First Off , They Came In 2 Days When I Had 3 Day Shipping Lol . Anyway . These Brushes Are Perfect For Beginners . Most Of You Have Been Saying That You Don't Have A Smudge Or Blending Brush . Cant Remember Which One But I Have Both . This Is Good For Teens Which I Am . (14) And I Love Them .. What Kind Of Quality Did You All Expect For 15 Bucks? For That Much , These Brushes Are Perfect . The Faux Leather Case Thing Doesn't Smell So Bad & Neither Do The Brushes . Wash Them With A Facial Cleanser & Normal Shampoo And They Should Be Fine Even Tho The Color On Some May Bleed . And These Brushes Also Shed A Lot . That's Why I Run A Thin Comb Through Them A Few Times And They Stop Shedding . I Love These Brushes && They Were SO Worth The 15 Bucks .

i love this brush set. when they first came,it did smell of a strong fake leather smell but not gasoline like the others were claiming. i had these brushes for a good two weeks now and washed them and the shedding was minimum. i wasnt expecting no mac quality brushes, but these are super soft and they pick up the shadows well. i love these brushes and i would recommend them.

so....i ordered this product requesting 2 day shipping because I needed it for an event for a specific day, but unfortunately I did not receive the brushes until 2 days later than expected, so i am very disappointed about that. there is a reason why you pay that extra for rush shipping...

other than that, the brushes are good, just ok. but for the price they are pretty good. very little shedding and the more you wash them, the better they are. i was impressed at the packaging, everything was wrapped nice and each brush was wrapped, even some with and extra protector. i recently ordered an eye shadow palette from Fash, hopefully i receive it ontime....
