I'm new to e.l.f. products and just received the Studio Matte Eyeshadow in Muted Mauve. I LOVE the way it goes on and how it's not chalky looking like other matte shadows. It has a little bit of a sheen but it's barely there and is just enough to make your eyes look nice. It goes on very creamy but doesn't feel wet. It minimizes the fine lines on my eyelids. And so far it's staying on really well. I only have this one shade so far so I don't know how well it blends with other shades.

I can't agree with the choice of shade name because to me Mauve should be kind of a lavender color, which this shade isn't. I also can't agree with the other reviewer who said it's a light pink. Maybe it's just the way it looks on me or the lighting I'm using, but to me it looks like light brownish/rose. Even though the color wasn't what I was expecting or wanting, I'm loving the way it contrasts and enhances the amber and green in my hazel green eyes.

The packaging states, "the pigment-rich color delivers a vibrant effect ..." That may be the case for other shades, but not this one. It's very pale. I'm very pale as well and this shade works well on me for a natural daytime look.

The amount of eyeshadow you get is very small compared to what you get when you buy other brands of eyeshadow but you don't need to use much. The container is built so you can shake a little bit of the shadow into the lid and apply it to your eyes using a small brush that comes with the shadow. Since you don't get much product I think the design of the container is a good idea and make it a good value.

This is a nice eyeshadow. It goes on smoothly and evenly. Just be carful when open the lid because there isn't another cover on it.

I was extremely disappointed in this product. The brush that came with the eyeshadow is totally inadequate for the job, and the eyeshadow itself just does not stay on. This is definitely a case of getting what you pay for.
