This pencil bag zips, stays zipped, unzips, is shiny black "pleather", has a polyester lining, and has been on multiple cross country trips with me. I've used it as a pen and pencil bag, not as a makeup brush bag. If you're expecting the little leather pencil bags you'd get in Europe, you won't get that. This is more oval shaped and is a 'vegan' (non leather) version of it's European counterpart.

Pros: Great little bag, keeps things in that should be in, and keeps things out that should be out.

Cons: All in the expectations. It is not leather but does not claim to be.

Even though I read the reviews before purchasing this product I still decided to give it a try. It is poorly made, and not flexible at all. Plus it is a strange size. It is just sitting in my draw not being used. Wishing I would have listened to the other reviewers and passed on this one.
