Review of Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

I have natural auburn colored hair, it's not strawberry blond, it's not orange, it's true auburn. I have a very hard time finding brow products that aren't too dark or too... grey. Part of the issue is my eyebrows aren't quite the same color as the rest of my hair, they're lighter. This is the PERFECT color to blend my eyebrows into the color of my hair! I do mix the two shades, the dark is too dark, and the light is too light on its own. I've never used an Anastasia brow pencil, but I have no need to ever switch. This duo looks so natural, you would never guess I had any product in them at all and it lasts all day long. Even if I'm lazy and don't take my makeup off at night, in the morning it's still about half way there.

I had given up until I saw this product and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. I hadn't been using anything for about a year and on day one, my boyfriend couldn't stop staring at me and said, "I don't know why, but I LOVE your eyes today!"

I can't say how well the other colors match, but to my redheaded friends, try it!

Best Deals on Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

I randomly came across this at Ulta the other day (I typically go into makeup stores with a very specific list to avoid spending tons of money on a whim, ha!) and loved the color so much. As other reviewers have noted, most eyebrow pencils and shadows are very unrealistic in color. I have light brown/dark blonde hair, and this color matches my eyebrows perfectly. Note: It is definitely darker on your eyes than it looks in the compact, and I recommend trying it out in a store for a good match.

The really lovely thing about this product, beyond the color match and very silky feeling of the powder, is that you just need a little bit applied with a stiffer brush for a big impact. I have relatively thin eyebrows and just use a bit of this to make them appear a bit fuller, and the impact it has on the rest of my face is incredible, IMO. Best of all, it doesn't even look like I have anything on which is a huge thing because what's worse than obviously painted on eyebrows?

In terms of staying power, I do not use an eyebrow gel because they make my eyebrows stiff and uncomfortable (like hairspray on your face gross), but this powder seems to hold up well without one. I suggest not rubbing your eyebrows during the day and you'll be fine. $22 seems like an awful lot for this tiny compact, but a little bit goes a long way, and for the effect it has on the rest of my face, I think it's well worth the price.

I know this is for blonde but I expected it to be just a bit darker based on previous purchases of another similar product. The darker of the two is much lighter than shown in the photo. Otherwise product is good.

This was a perfect match to my red hair. I prefer the shade on the left than the shade on the right.
