Let me start by saying that I really wanted these products to be good. I like mineral makeup and am always willing to try different brands. They compare themselves to Bare Minerals, but there really is no comparison. Yeah, it's cheaper, but you also get what you pay for.

I bought a starter set similar to this one sold on Amazon at the IQ natural website, only it came with a 7 brushes, eye shadow, blush and bronzer, but no setting mist. There were only 3 choices to choose from: light, medium, and dark. So I chose the medium set, since that's usually the color range that I buy with other mineral makeup. However, when I got the set and tried it out, I found that there was way too much pink undertones in both of the foundations that came with the set.

Makeup Review:

The foundation does cover well, but it is also a bit thicker and cakier than other mineral foundations, and only lasts about 4 hours on my oilier complexion. I do like the blush and eyeshadows and have no complaints with them. The brushes are okay, but they're not as nice as some of the other brushes that you get from other companies.

Other cons:

IQ Natural doesn't have a very diverse color range of foundations. If you get it and the color's right for you, then that's great, but it did not work for me. Because of the wrong foundation, I contacted IQ natural and after calling and emailing, I was able to switch (I paid for shipping) to a different color, but that color is now too dark. I tried to contact IQ natural again to see if I could buy a white foundation or something similar to lighten the foundation, but no one has contacted me back.

That's really my major complaint: the customer service. Their phone "service" is terrible. I tried calling for over 2 hours! And the line was always busy. If you stayed on for a really long time, then an answering machine would kick in saying that they would call you back, but they never did. The first time I emailed, I was contacted right away and helped. But after that first time, no one replied to my emails, and I tried many times.

Because of this, I will not order from them again.

I purchased this makeup with no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised! I have always had a few little pimples on my face in my adult life, especially if I used any kind of foundation. My complexion has actually improved with this makeup!!! Plus, it hides the redness I have been cursed with on my nose and is effective at hiding a few little lines that I have started to get (I'm 32). It stays on all day-no re-applying. It is so lightweight, I don't feel "cakey". I would recommend this to anyone!

Great product, still trying to figure out my foundation color. I do not need to re apply. I like this better than Bare Eccentuals and MaryKay.

I have been a loyal user of Bare Essentals, no more. This is a much better product and it cost less.

I wanted to try a powder based make-up for a long time. I was getting really tired of using cream based foundations and I basically just wanted to try something new. This make up is awesome! It looks really nice and natural on your skin and you don't feel it at all throughout the day. The brush they send you with it fell apart after a week, so I would recommend getting a set of brushes. You really need more than one brush anyways, so it's not a big loss that the brush they send you is crappy. The eyeshadows that come with this make-up kit aren't very good either, no matter how much of it you put it, it's gone after an hour or so. Everything else in the kit was fantastic. I've been using it for about 4 months now and I've barely put a dent in the amount of makeup that's there because you need to use so little of it. This is absolutely a bargain deal that is well worth the cost!

The set is very generous with the amount of product. The color is actually closer to my actual skin color than "bare Minerals". My complaint is that it does not spread as even over the skin, and it can spill out easy due to not having plastic screens over the mineral powder. I just take more time getting everything even when applying the product.
