I have a few MAC brushes that I have had forever. They're good brushes and good quality. I recently decided to get a powder brush, the biggest I could find. I already have a MAC powder brush, but wanted something bigger and better, but didn't want to spend $40+ on a brush.

I tend to avoid inexpensive brushes because they shed and the blending abilities aren't the best, but then. WHOA, HOLD ON. Real techniques brush just freaking blew my mind. It is inexpensive and it works the same, if not better, than expensive brushes.

I washed the brush before I used it and could not get over how soft and fine the bristles felt.

Once the brush dried, I used it to apply Makeup Forever's HD Microfinish Powder and holy beautiful skin that will make people jealous, Batman.

This brush and that powder are going to do some amazing things together.

I have this brush and use it every day. All the brushes in this collection from Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo You Tube fame are beautiful in their workmanship: they do not shed, they are extremely soft(made of Taklon synthetic), and they are not expensive. There are sets available in this collection that do not duplicate any of the single brushes. Samantha color coded her brushes:Purple for the eyes, Pink for finishing, and Gold for face. You will not be sorry to have these brushes. Nice to see them here on Amazon. They were (and still are) available at Ulta Stores. You can go see these amazing brushes and see the sets which also include cases that can stand up!

I highly recommend these make up brushes. For the price they are well worth it! Very soft, able to pick up pigments well and no shedding!!!

This powder brush is large and full. It is better than MAC's powder brush or Sigmas.

I also purchased the kabuki brush and the 4 brush set!

Honest reviews on real Techniques Powder Brush

I love real Techniques brushes. Especially since they are affordable and are of very good quality. The Powder Brush was one that I had contemplated purchasing because of the size (I'd seen it in ULTA prior during a trip to LA) and whether I needed yet another powder brush. I caved and bought this brush anyways. The brush head is big and fluffy with medium density. I do like that it has a flat base that allows it to stand on its own on table tops. After a few spot cleaning rounds, the brush hair tends to fluff up more and loses it's compact shape but that is easily remedied after deep cleaning. I've not had any issues with shedding or bleeding since using this brush an it's been almost a year now which is really good. I use this brush to apply translucent powder to set my foundation and it works great for that purpose. It's also nice to use to diffuse over-blushing or -bronzing. The brush hair is soft and comfortable on skin but I think the Sigma F30 might be a tad softer. All in all a very nice powder brush and a very affordable price.

Great powder brush! It is a bit large (the circumference of the hairs/bristles), but it does a fantastic job as far as blending and coverage. And it is super soft! It is not limp like some soft brushes can be. Love Real Techniques brushes!
