this thing is a mess! it really is. it is loud, it comes out of the top of the make-up cup and drips down your arm, on your sink. it takes forever to apply. unlike traditional makeup, you can just switch from one bottle to another..the Luminess you have to sit there and put water in it, let it bubble, clean it and than put your next product on! It takes atleast 25 minutes for a basic application. It definitely should have come with the case for this price!!!

The product itself is useless unless you are a professional artist who would put it on your face without visible spots, plus if you have a good skin (then you don't need any foundations!) :-)

But more over you should be aware that the LuminessAir company uses swindling ways to make you pay them more then promised by their commercials. This is how it works: you order a product on a special price. They charge you $60 on top as a 'security deposit'. But this is just a beginning! Then you will get charged $59,99 monthly (!) regardless do you use it or not!

I sent them several notifications that I don't use their product and asked to stop charging me monthly as I don't even receive any refills (that's how they call those). But they preferred to ignore it. First I thought its just a poor customer service, but later understood its a fraud business scheme! This is how they make their money you even can't cancel or return the product as the cancellation form on their internet site does not work i copied the full data from my original order, but was declined as "it was incomplete" ! :-) Now I understand that is done on purpose to keep charging clients, who were foolished like me by their TV commercial "spend just $30!"

Be smart, don't let swindlers to steal $300 from you (my case)! Hope my bad experience will help someone to avoid same situation!

This product I like.one of the issues I have with it that once you have the foundation in it and turn it on even without pulling the leaver the foundation comes out.also you use a lot of foundation. I also think for what I payed for it it would have been nice if it came with a carrier case.i do have to say that the foundation looks great when it is on.it takes time to get use to using it and getting the right color that suits my complection is not so easy.it takes time and practice

The makeup:

I really love the makeup that luminess sells. I've tried all of the major brands of foundation and this one is the best. It goes on lightly, doesn't feel heavy and unless you put way too much on it doesn't feel cakey. I have crazy breakouts that leave my face a mess and this covers it without making me look over done. It's not to expensive if you wait for one of their sales (they usually run them once a month to once every two months). No matter what compressor I use I'll always stick with luminess foundation. The blush is really nice to. I like the eyeshadow but I'm terrible at it so I can't really comment on how well that works.

The compressor:

Ok, Here's the weak spot, the compressor. It's just not powerful enough and sometimes that means more clogging while airbrushing. I like the stylus and when it clogs I know it's not the stylus or the makeup. It's the compressor that just does not have a high enough psi. It's a little loud but I'm not worried about noise so not a problem for me. If you're only planning to use it for special occasions and are not worried about everyday use, I think this compressor works fine but for that more professional touch and to save yourself from having to unclog often I recommend a more powerful compressor.

That's my opinion. Hope I helped some of you out. And to be honest this is worth the cost just for the makeup. And glow OMG you have to get glow. I love that stuff!

I got this as an early Christmas present in October 2012. I had seen it on TV many times but could never afford it and worried that it might not be what they claim. When another on-line retailer had it for an awesome price, I asked my parents for it for Christmas. It worked perfectly from my first try, now I use it exclusively. I'm able to do my whole face in just minutes. Here is my perfect recipe in the following order, 6 drops foundation, 1 drop glow for under-eye circles, 2 drops blush mixed with 1 drop bronzer or pearlizer and done. I don't clean between products, I just make sure I used the product in the bowl then add the next product and make sure I mix with back bubbling, use that and on to the next product. I always make sure to clean really well after each use.

One thing to be aware of is, if you let the make-up sit to long, you MUST shake it really, really good before use or it will come out in splatters. I had surgery back in April and did not wear make-up for almost 2 months and when I went to use it, it just splattered all over my face. Now I make sure that if I'm not using it for a period of time, I shake my bottles every other day.

I can't tell you how much I love my kit. One time I accidentally burned the side of my face with the curling iron while I was getting ready to go out. I was able to cover the burn and no one could tell there was a burn there and the make-up didn't look excessively heavy on that burn spot. I have recently tried the eyeshadow and I really like it but it does take a bit more practice with a lighter touch. Next I want to get the tanning kit. If there was one thing I would change, that would be to make the make-up more water resistant because when I cry I get big streaks down my face. I recommended Luminess Air to my best friend and her kids got her one for Mother's Day and she just loves hers too.
