Let's begin with I have been using a badger bristle brush for 40 years. I have owned brushes from long gone domestic sources, Fuller brush, Germany and everywhere in between. I had this brush since November and I use it every other day. So here we go:
1. This is a true sliver tip badger brush
2. The handle is generous and pleasure to hold
3. The ball is rough 52mm in diameter and the knot is roughly 25mm in diameter
4. On average I have only 1 or 2 bristles fall out per month
Now that I've had it for a few months the bristles have stopped falling out
5. The height is right as is the weight
6. Cleanup is acceptable
I WILL be buying another this year simply because I'm so impressed by the quality versus the price. If you price them against their German counterparts expect to spend another $100. You will need a stand to let it hang to dry.

Took me a while and some wasted dollars to realise that the Mason Pearson Super Badger is the ultimate shaving brush. I found the regular badger brushes OK, but scratchy for want of another word.It is also holding it's shape well. No hesitation in recommending spending the extra money for the top of the line brush.
