I use this brush to apply liquid foundation. I fell into the all the hype about the Beauty Blender sponge, so I spent $20 and bought one. I wanted to be thrilled about it, but ultimately, it sucked up too much product and it didn't apply foundation as nicely as the RT Expert Face Brush. The RT EFB doesn't waste product and gives a flawless finish. I've tried the Shiseido brush, too; it's a high end brush, and I still find myself reaching for this RT brush. I love it. It's a great tool for a very good price. Don't fall for all the hype about other foundation tools. This is all you need. When I use pressed powder foundation, I use the RT Buffing Brush which has a flat top. It's great for that purpose. I don't think Amazon sells it; I bought that brush from Ulta for under $10.

I purchased this brush at Ulta after seeing the makeup artist on you tube. I have used expensive foundation brushes from bobbi brown (the flat foundation brush) to shu umera, shisiedo, and my favorite foundation brush was a tarte brush I purchased with a powder foundation from QVC. I am a part time makeup artist and I honestly have never used a more soft yet firm foundation brush. The brush buffs the skin perfectly and places the foundation in every pore. I have used sponges and the beauty blender and disklike them both. This again is so worth the money and I find that synthetic brushes pick up more product but it is important to make sure they are not too soft. I will be purchasing another one as I am obsessive about having a back-up at all times.
