This is the first hairbrush that I have had that doesn't make brushing my hair a painful experience. I have long, thick, wavy hair that tangles easily. This hairbrush makes it seem silky smooth.

I love this brush. It actually made my hair shiny. I have used a lot of brushes before and this is the first one to add shine on my hair.

I have very thick ethnic hair. Not extremely coarse, but coarse enough to have it chemically straightened every few months to keep it manageable. I must say, ever since I was in high school I have been through entire aisles of hair products and brushes, both professional and at drugstores... and this brush definitely takes the cake. It made my hair smooth and shiny, without having to put oils or serums in it first. It also gently moves through tangles, without snapping the strands or breaking knots. I have never had a brush like this one, and think I will stick with it from now on. The price may be a bit hefty, but if your paranoid about your hair's health like I am, it is worth it. I would lose a lot of hair using my old drugstore brushes, due to rough pulling and breakage. Now, it is very easy to smooth out stubborn kinks and knots. I love it!

* I must say this brush is not recommended for use with heat tools or heavy styling products. The heat or product buildup could ruin the rubber and bristles, as stated in the care instructions. I would recommend using this brush only for use with clean, dry or damp hair to get the full benefit of its quality.

It feels really nice, have not had it long enough to say yet if the results are as raved but so far a very good quality brush. I figured if I'm going to spend $ on my hair I might as well spend $ on the necessary tools to maintain it beautiful and healthy.

Got this for my wife for Christmas. Her hair length is approx. 4" below her shoulders and she had a pile of $5 brushes on which the bristles had mostly been completely flattened/broken off. She marvels at the way the bristles of the Mason Pearson Nylon Brush (NU2) flow through her hair no matter how knotted/tangled it is. High quality brush that is well worth the $.
