I branched out to try a different color eyeliner besides black and brown. One that would not be too wild and that I could still pull off at work. I bought this from Sephora in black violet and am very pleased with the color and staying power of this pencil. Typically, I find that pencils do not have the vibrancy of a gel (I like MAC's fluidline and a bronze gel one from Smashbox) or liquid liner (I like Stila), but this one exceeds my expectations. It stays pretty much all day on the bottom lash line (I have combination skin and sometimes have issues with liners running/smudging when I don't want them to!). The purple color looks amazing against blue eyes, and trust me I spend a good hour testing all the purples in Sephora from every brand and this one was the best in terms of color and being long-lasting (it didn't rub off with my finger or a napkin like some of the others did). On the other hand, the built-in sharpener is absolutely terrible, I tried to use it once, never again, I'll stick to traditional sharpeners. And also the price is a bit high for a pencil liner, and I don't think it will last me very long (I've had it about two weeks and have sharpened about an inch off with everyday use). I took off a star because of the price and the sharpener, but I definitely would purchase it again.
