I had purchased these brushes after having some failed attempts at other companies ( Sigma). I did not purchase any one kit but looked at several separately. The brushes I got were the 949, small foundation brush 947, and 957. I cannot say anything about their eye brushes or other brushes because I don't need them. However, Each of the three really impressed me.
The bristles are extremely soft, not just for the price, but in comparison to other brands also. They are also densely packed together which is great. I have never had any fall out of bristles when cleaning or applying foundation. They do not smell like some kind of oil/gas station also. The brushes are all reasonable sizes, and I prefer smaller for better application and control of product. The one possible con that I can see with these are that the handles of them are probably the longest handles I have ever seen in makeup brushes. Personally, I like this because it makes me feel like Picasso when I'm applying foundation and gives me a lighter hand in application. But I can understand how this would be bothersome, they also make travelers versions of each which are shorter which is AWESOME. My small foundation brush is in the travelers version.
Honestly, these brushes should be getting a lot more attention but since they don't; here was my review on them. They are really wonderful. (So are Real Techniques)
