Basically this stuff works by completely drying out the oils left on your fingernails. When you brush it on it leaves your nails with a chalky white appearance. I like to use two "coats" before I apply my polish, to make sure they're thoroughly covered. I have not had to use a base coat with chip skip. My nail polish lasted nearly two weeks, whereas it usually lasts maybe two days! I am so pleased with this product, it is well worth the money and it definitely works.

This product is fabulous! My manicure has lasted twice as long as before. Whatever is in the formula does exactly what it says. I have no more chipping between manicures. I would recommend this to anyone who is fed up with chipped nail polish!

I'm not sure if I'm using this product the wrong way, (if that's possible) but my nails chip just as frequently with it as without it! I don't use it with a basecoat, as I was told it wasn't necessary, and by the next day or the day after, my nails, without fail, are always chipped. I use only OPI nail products (including a top coat) and I have to say, I'm disappointed with this one.

I'll be looking for another anti-chip alternative.

This was a waste of time and money, there was absolutely no difference than when it's not used. In work conditions and non work days, polish chipped exactly the same as when not using it. I expected a little better Keith am OPI product

I surely recommend the use of Chip Skip prior to any polish being applied. It dries instantaneously, and the polish will last longer, and not chip. The bottle last a very long time.
