I have to say i have tried them alllots of kabuki brushes, and this one surpasses any i have ever used. The hairs are synthetic and the bamboo handle is perfect to hold in ones hand. I love the application this gives with my bare minerals matte foundation. I highly recommend this brush if you are in the market for a great brush to apply your mineral makeup. I also have tried it with my Tarte foundationa liquid based mineral and it works well with this as well. Well worth the price. I'm even thinking about getting some for family members as possible Christmas. Anyone would be happy with this brush, it doesn't shed much at allnext to till, and i am so glad i decided to purchase this from this seller.. give Antonym cosmetics a try.. would love to see them offer other brushes, i guess that's something to look forward to with this company.

As a prominent make-up artist in LA, I would never consider writing a review or admitting to my friends that I buy anything make-up related on-line. Every make-up artist knows that name brands are critical to an impressive kit. But I can't help myself. I'm an Amazon and eBay junkie. So when I came across this product I feel in love with the whole concept of makeup made by and for makeup artists. The other thing that spoke to my bohemian heart was the rejection of all of the commercialized name brands that are forced down our throats in order to be considered a red-carpet makeup artist. This rejection was accomplished so eloquently by choosing the company name as "Antonym"!! Absolutely brilliant!!! Kudos to the artists! Take back our profession!!!!! Oh, just for the record, the brush is AMAZING!

I was about to buy a much more expensive kabuki from a different brand which didn't even have as good of reviews as this brush... I'm SO GLAD I didn't! This brush is better than anything I could imagine; it incredibly soft, cleans well and hasn't lost a single hair yet :) The little pouch is a bonus and I imagine this brush will be just the beginning of my Antonym collection... VERY SATISFIED!

This brush works very well, my only problem with it is its size. The handle is tiny and the brush itself is somewhat small. However, it applies mineral make-up well. My last brush (from Bare Escentuals) was driving me crazy because it shed all over me each time I used it, kind of like the little white dog I grew up with. This is not what we look for in a make-up brush.

The Antonym brush is really soft, and does apply a very even layer of make-up. I recommend it.

I have a couple of other kabuki brushes to base off my comparison, one being the Bare Minerals brush and the other from Amazing Cosmetics. First of all, Antonym's brush comes in an adorable zip pouch, which keeps my brush clean and away from all of my other cosmetics and secondly, its the most attractive brush I've owned! The bamboo handle is the perfect size for a comfortable grip and the brush feels incredibly soft against my face. I've had the Amazing Cosmetics brush standing by and when I used it the other day to compare, I was thoroughly disturbed by how rough the brush was and how much smaller it was AND its more than double the price of Antonym's--seriously? Kind of a rip off if you ask me. With Antonym's brush, you'll get more than your money's worth.
