First off, this product did everything it said it would. But, there is a trick to it that needs mentioning. The product goes on very sheer to start. While some may only need a tiny dab to suffice... there are those of us that need a bit more coverage to hide our under-eye circles. If you don't have a small concealer brush, I recommend you get one. (Note:If you don't like cosmetic store brush prices, go to your art hobby store and buy a small round. You'll pay at LEAST 1/4 of the price, and have the option between natural and synthetic hairs.) With the small brush, pack on the concealer in the well of your under eye (usually the darkest part) gently blending outwards. If you happen to have a foundation brush with foundation still on it, you can use it to further blend/blur the concealer line to the cheek/nose region. Do NOT blend with a sponge. This concealer is a bit runny and will absorb entirely into your sponge.
I personally use a smashbox under eye primer to get smoother skin results... but I honestly think this might be one of the few concealers that doesn't require primer. I live in Florida, so I'm all about primers, setting powders, and setting sprays... however, (before) none of the above helped when it rained. My under eye concealer would run, streak, or rub off in patches. This lancome waterproof concealer? Well I didn't use setting powder or spray and it lasted all day.
Drawbacks? This is NOT a sulfate free product and it will probably cause irritation to very sensitive skin types. Trust me, I KNOW. I couldn't use this product on the rest of my face even if I wanted to. Although, I've found that the best way to protect your skin from the ingredients (if you don't want to get rid of it) is to put your moisturizer on, then a silicon based primer (plugs your pores from fully absorbing), and then brush the product on with a brush (versus rubbing it in). The quantities of sulfate are relatively small, or else I wouldn't be using it. It's just something you should keep in mind if you're worried or allergic.
If you have extra funds, get lancome's waterproof eye makeup remover. You will have to buy waterproof makeup remover anyways, and this is the best. If you have very dry skin, you can use almay's waterproof makeup remover... but if you're prone to acne, I do not recommend that route.

It looks good at the moment, then it burned my skin, I got terrible itching spots and dark spots and bags underr my eyes the next morning.I never had bags under my eyes , this one made me feel 30 year older with the irritation that I got the next morning.
my painful skin irritation took few days to heal, then I used it again and it gave me the same bad results.
