After years of using cheap drugstore brushes, I finally decided to take the plunge and spend some big bucks on decent makeup brushes. This brush was my first ever splurge and I have not regretted one cent that I paid for it. I have lost count of the number of times I have washed this (I just use regular shampoo) over the years and it is still in perfect shape. The bristles, made of squirrel hair, are incredibly soft and feel really luxurious on the skin, never scratchy. It is ideally shaped to pick up just the right amount of powder. I use this to apply loose powder and bronzer and the finish is flawlessly even. I find that the best way to use this is by lightly tapping off any excess powder and lightly buffing onto your face in a circular motion, instead of using downward strokes.
After more than 4 years, it looks as good as new with hardly any shedding. This remains the queen of all my cosmetic brushes and deserves a pedestal for its greatness. Okay, so I am exaggerating here but it is worthy of exaggeration. Totally expensive, but absolutely worth it!This brush is the bomb! Pricey, but worth it. So good that I bought the blush brush as well. #5 is perfect for my mineral make-up! My dad always said, buy the best tools for the job, so I did.
