My daughter bought an e.l.f. Mineral Eyeliner Pencil last year and loved it. It went on gently, smudged nicely and lasted all day. Of course we liked the price much less than makeup counter and even most drug store makeup. I just bought this eyeliner pencil for her birthday (it's much cheaper at Walmart, by the way! I was short on time and bought it as an add-on item to get it here quickly).
A little Internet searching turned up that e.l.f. products are made in China. This is a concern to me, given the dismal record China has with poisoning our pet food and baby formula. But according to the e.l.f. website, this product is relatively natural, with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes.
The ingredients, taken from their website: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Rhus Succedanea Cera (Rhus Succedanea Fruit Wax), Mica. May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Mica (CI 77019), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510)
I'm giving them 4 stars because of the great performance and decent price, but I will continue to look for a reasonably priced American made eyeliner for her.
