I have acne prone combination skin. I also have large pores and hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. This has made it virtually impossible for me to find a foundation that works. If its heavy enough to give me the coverage I need it breaks me out or settles into my pores. If its sheer it draws attention to my dark spots turning them a greyish color. As if that isn't enough, my olive skin has very difficult to match undertones making it virtually impossible to find a shade match. After trying Chanel, Guerlain, Clinique, Sisheido, Bare Minerals, PUR Minerals, and most of the drugstore brands, I finally settled on MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC43. Until now that is! I recently came accross the Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten foundation while browsing at the local Ulta store. After trying it on at the insistence of the sales woman, I immediately had to have it. It gave me excellent coverage yet felt light and smooth on my skin. The colors in the medium shade which I got are a perfect match for my skin tone and the powder didn't settle into my pores or draw attention to my cheeks. After wearing the foundation for a couple of hours I made sure to check it just to be certain the color or the effect hadn't changed. It didn't! It looked amazing, like bare skin only better. After 6 hours a little shine was visible on the T-zone but nothing outrageous. I am so happy with this product that I will definitely be repurchasing. Added tip I use the Fair shade of the Balance-n-Brighten bronzer as a blush. It gives my cheeks a pretty pink glow and makes my skin look really healthy. I have used very expensive foundation such as SmashBox, Mac, Dior, Channel and a lot others. This is the best I've used. The price here is better then on QVC by far. The color fair is great year round. I only use Laura Geller Balance N Brighten. I was happy to find he Laura Geller Balance and Brighten Regular; have tried the one with the sunscreen and found the consistency and color to be very disappointing; this original is a great product, have used it for several years on my 60+ face and it doesn't settle in the wrinkles! It's a great product
