Review of Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner

Being over 55 I have to be more selective about the products I use and this liner is perfect for the older eyes, with looser skin. I use the Mercier flat line brush and apply water and liner mixed, but not too watery, then tap it as close to the lash line and as thin as I can so there is no pulling or dragging. This means of application also gives me more control of the depth of color as well as how thick I make the line. As I've gotten older I've found that lighter and thinner is best for highlighting my eyes while not making me look older which pencils and others can do. The flat line brush is just as important as the liner itself. I have been using this product for at least 10 yrs now and love it. When I was younger I used black or navy, with age I've learned that softer colors like this mahogany or grey don't make me look older.

This is tight line which needs the proper applicator to use properly. But what a wonderful product if you use properly. I will ALWAYS use this product forever.

This product is awesome for tightlining! i use either a Sigma E15 or MAC 212 and it couldnt be easier. The black is nice and dark and it does not fade nor run after all day wear. I thought it was a little pricey at first but it lasts sooooo long that price per use is actually pretty low. And the vendor makeupmall shipped very fast!

I love this cake eyeliner for tight lining with the Laura Mercier Flat Eye Liner Brush. The color is perfect, the liner goes on so nice and smooth. My only complaint is that it bleeds a little I'm always worried I'm developing raccoon eyes after a long night out, and it's hard to remove, even with the best eye make up remover. It still end up trying to wipe it off a day or two later. This has stopped me from using it daily since I'm really lazy when it comes to removing make up. If it doesn't come off with a few swipes of eye makeup remover, I'm over it. But otherwise, it looks great, and I do use it for special occasions like weddings or going out at night.
