I bought my "Varooka" Bella Pierre makeup in a Mall Kiosk. I usually shy away from these but when I walked by and saw some of the Shimmering eyeshadows and I was looking for a really GREAT shimmer eyeshadow I decided to give it a try. Was able to haggle a price which was still pricey but honestly I thought this once wouldn't hurt. If you can get your 2.35 Gram container for $10 or less you are getting a great deal. The first one I bought was Champagne and I liked it so much I went back and purchased a few more in a group price: 3 for $30.00. Again, if you aren't okay with what you are buying you should really think about it first. I did, I tried one... I loved it and went back for more.
Varooka is a medium lilac purple, like the purple you would see in a lilac flower. (Closest thing I could think of.) Very vibrant, and pretty. VERY SHIMMERY. If you don't like too much shimmer, this may not be the makeup for you. I've had terrible acne since high school, I'm in my 30s now and this makeup hasn't given me a problem. Not like some of the other stuff I've tried, holy cow, this one is mild! I don't break out. It's super easy to clean, just soap and water. It doesn't leave a residue. Some makeups even eye liners leave residues when you clean. This one does not. It claims to be mineral makeup and as far as it claims I haven't seen or experienced anything to make me NOT believe it. (I mean hey, I went back to purchase more that says something after doing a trial on the first one.)
You can apply this with your finger, Q-tip, or brush. Dry or wet! And I love the wet part because it gives you so much more control. The effect is a bit different and in some cases more vibrant color. You'll have to experiment with yours. The powder lasts a long long time. So far I have yet to really get through one and I've had mine for at least a year. And there is plenty left. And I'm not too concerned with it going bad like some makeups which say you should dispose of after 6 months... yeah, I keep my brushes clean and I tap a little of the dust into a separate tiny dish before I add water and apply or I use my clean brush to pick up the color in the lid and apply it right to my eye lid. (When finished I clean them, start over the next day.) Very little contamination if at all. Plus the containers have a shaker lid between the lid and the dish with all the powder in it.
The only negative I've found is that if you travel and the container is dropped upside down in your luggage the powder fills up between the lid and the shaker. I usually set mine on a flat surface and tap it. Make sure it doesn't topple out when I open it. Still kinda buggy but I live with it. And then some of the powders don't seem to have that problem at all? Maybe different consistencies of the pigments? Not sure.
I'm really happy with mine, I don't notice any clumping out of the ordinary. It doesn't irritate my eyes, or my skin. Even after a few hours, some glittery products do that for me, this one does not. It's just really shimmery. And I've added it to my other makeup as well. Seems to do fine. Easy to blend, layer... just experiment and find what works for you. Application seems to stay all day. It doesn't flake off and get all over my cloths. And it doesn't usually clump in my eyelid crease... I mean sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, sometimes I'm just surprised... it really bugs me about most makeup that I use even with a high quality primer. Meh! I think I'm just strange. But it's not hard to just lightly redistribute it back into place.
Thing is I love this product and I'll continue to use it for years to come. Try it out. You may just love it like me.
