I just purchased these brushes based off of the reviews. I was looking at the sigma versions of the 3 brushes I bought (the f84, the f86 and the e35). I own some other Sigma brushes that I love, so when the reviews were comparing these to the sigma equivalent my interest was piqued.
These brushes LOOK identical to the sigma version. I mean, really close. These are not what I would call a comparable brush in terms of quality though. The ferrules (the metal that holds the hair to brush) were loose and wiggly on all three. They were also dented. The brushes were much lighter in weight than the Sigma ones, and the bristles were not nearly as densely packed. The bristles were not as soft as the Sigma version, but very close.
Now, not being of the exact same quality of the sigma versions doesn't mean that these are bad. I just wanted other people who buy these based on the comparison know what the differences are. I would think a closer comparison would be the coastal scents brushes. They seem equally as good in terms of build quality and softness/shedding. I think the Bellus brushes are more attractive than the coastal scents though purely basing this on appearance as I said, they LOOK just like the Sigma brushes.
The face brushes had no offending scent (if you've bought other brushes, I'm sure you're used to some of the funky smells that come off some brushes), however the eye brush that came in a plastic bag had a slight sharpie marker smell. The other two did not come in a bag, just with brush guards (which had a bar code sticker on them I struggled to get off). The smell of the eye brush went away after it was cleaned. This probably doesn't matter a whole lot to anyone, but I thought I would mention it.
I also would like to mention that the brush also does not seems to shed much at all.
Overall, I think they are OK brushes. If you are just starting out or not expecting super high quality brushes, you'll be super pleased with these. They are light-years better than drugstore brushes in my opinion. I wouldn't pay more than price I did for this quality though (8 bucks for face and 5 for eye). These are great for someone like myself, just a girl who loves makeup.

I don't own any fancy brushes to compare this too, but I love it! The bristles are very soft, don't shed and are firmly attached to the brush. There is no looseness at the flange.I'll be going back for more of Bellus' brushes!
