First thing I want to say is that I have no problem with the QUALITY of this product.. Infallible really does what it says: This Stuff WILL NOT come off! and I mean that in a good way.. you can eat ( yes, even greasy foods ) and drink and rub your lips together all day long and this stuff will NOT budge! to remove it, I had to take OIL and literally scrub this product off of my lips.. it took longer than 10 minutes of scrubbing with OIL before it came off.. so thats a good thing if you are looking for long wear. My problem is with their COLORS, for example, one of the "nude" shaedes called "nutmeg"...WOW, is it metallic! its weird that the nutmeg shade is listed in the "Nude" category, because there is nothing "nude" about it! it is a truly super metallic color.. so metallic, that I would say that is reminds me of those cheap, cheesey looking gold lam'e shirts you see for sale around the holidays.. Uggh! awful color, not natural, not nude in ANY sense of the word! I am taking it back today for a refund. I have tried another one of their colors, I forget the name, but the number on the pkg is 890.. much better. still... make sure that you can either test the color out before you buy, or make sure where you buy from has a return policy, because the colors can be MUCH more intense than how they look on the tube, and there was definitely NO WARNING on the outside of the pkg that said the one I picked was an ultra metallic color. As a final note: I have also tried their Never Fail Lipgloss, and I LOVE it, and I will be buying one in every color.. But, as for the Infallible lipcolors, however, I wont buy another unless I test it out first to check out the color.

I absolutely love Linda's color!!! It is perfect! Also, this lipstick does not wipe off. At the most I just re-apply some balm. I love that I can eat, drink, and kiss my boyfriend without the color smudging or getting on everything. My sister got it too and she agrees! I definitely rate this item a 5 star!!! Love love love it! =]By the way, this is a really good price too. I bought mine at Walgreens for $12.00 so $5.99 is awesome lol.

I love this lip-colour! It is bright red, and have no hint of yellow or blue tint. It should therefore look good on any skin colour. It puts on easily, and is smooth and nice. It stays on and doesn't smear at all. I can eat and drink, and needs rubbing to get off. If you don't have the appropriate tools, that is.
The box is a little tricky but actually quite genius. On one side you have the colour, on the other the shine. Neither of the two is removable, however, they can be pushed out for better control. Because the base now is wider, it's very easy to hold, even if you have problems holding on to things (which I on occasion have, as I have arthritis that attacks my fingers). You flip up the colour, unscrew the top, apply colour to lip, screw the top back on, and click it back into place. Then you turn it around and flip up the shine, pull it off, apply, push it back and click it into place.
I also love the colour. It's rich, red, absolutely beautiful. In my profile picture I am wearing this colour, and no other makeup. I love this so much, I have purchased two more.
Honest reviews on L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Stars Collection Lipcolour
I'm going to order "Linda's Beige" from this Amazon seller because 1) it's cheaper than at my local CVS 2) my local CVS doesn't seem to carry it any longer and I'm afraid it's going to be discontinued. I've been using this product for the past year or so and I love it! In all my years of trying different lipsticks, lipglosses, and lip-liners, I have never found a product that I love this much. I love this color as well as others in the line (see below). It doesn't taste like anything, which pleases me because I have hated the taste of some of the older L'Oreal lipsticks in the past. There is good coverage even with a thin layer. This is not a lip gloss even though the applicator and consistency are similar, I would definitely say it more like lipstick. It is not sticky like lip gloss. Basically, it makes my lips feel natural and soft and the clear balm coat feels like light lipstick with a nice shine but not goopy. It provides everything I want from a lipstick, but doesn't come off! I still have to re-apply the clear stick throughout the day but it's as easy as applying lib balm. I like the shape and design of the packaging. I usually apply the color in front of a real mirror, but the reflective surface works well as a mirror even after banging around in my bag for a couple of months. The color applicator is precise and the clear layer is a nice twist-up design. You have to carefully apply the color first (because it will last until you remove it with makeup remover), wait 2 minutes for it to set and then use the clear balm. It feels a little tacky/sticky after it sets (it doesn't really "dry") but feels totally smooth once you add the clear coat. The two parts really react with one another! When I first tried this lipcolor, I assumed that it would dry out my lips the way every other "stain" I had ever tried did, but the clear balm moisterizes my lips wonderfully I even prefer it to medicated lip balms such as Balmex, which have a rebound drying effect that makes one "addicted" to using it. I prefer this 2-product (color and clear moisturizing balm) system much more than any of the all-in-one long lasting lipcolors that I've tried which were either too sticky or too drying. The color lasts all day and doesn't come off on anything! The balm needs to be re-applied every few hours (more often in dry or cold weather) but no more often than "normal" lipstick.
To those who had trouble with dryness and peeling, I would say that first off everyone is different and will react differently to products but the only time I had this kind of problem was when my lips were already really chapped and peeling. The color should not be used over already peeling lips! I would suggest lightly brushing clean, dry lips with a dry toothbrush and then using only the clear balm (or whatever chapped lip preparation works best for you) for a few hours (or days) until your lips are back in good condition. Once your lips are not peeling I find that the color layer actually seals in moisture and combined with the clear layer provided great protection from chapping even in the middle of the winter. One other important thing to note is that you should not layer the color with more color after it dries. That can cause it to feel too thick and maybe peel. As I describe below, you can mix the shades, but only when wet. If the color has really worn off after, say 8 hours, and you don't have any makeup remover then wipe off all of the clear balm and re-apply a thin coat, wait 2 minutes and re-apply the balm.
I have noticed something a bit weird about the marketing of this (my favorite) shade, #890. I originally bought it labeled (as it is here and on the L'Oreal website) with Linda Evangelista's signature and "Linda's Beige #890" on the bottom. The last time I found it in stock at CVS, it was labeled with Diane Kruger's ( I think that's what it says the last name on the signature is impossible to read... it looks like "Korys" lol!) name but the color of the plastic (representing the shade) was the same. I was not at all sure it was going to be the same color until I got it home and unwrapped it, when I discovered both that it was the same color as my almost-empty "Linda" lipcolor and that they both had the same number. This one said "Diane's Beige #890" on the bottom. Very weird! I'm worried that at some point they will lose the licensing of these celebrity names and the colors will disappear hopefully they will continue making the product and just label it "Beige #890".
Although "Beige #890" is a perfect nude shade for me, sometimes I want darker lips. For that I like "Kate's Plum #790". (I cannot figure out what Kate's last name is it's not "Moss"! I'm sitting here looking at four different signatures on these lipcolors and the only one that is legible is Linda Evangelista's and even her first "a" looks like an "e". Not that I'm criticizing these women my own signature is a symbol I refer to as "the woman formally known as....") However "Kate's Plum" is a little too dark. So I started experimenting and I found that if I line my lips with "Plum" and only apply a thin layer, I can then mix it with "Beige" or an even lighter shade (I can't find it at the moment it is one of the non-celebrity branded colors) to get the color I want and it works really well. You have to be quick about it because, as I wrote before, you don't ever want to apply an extra layer of color over a dry layer [go back and add that to the top of the review] but it's pretty easy to apply two coats of lip color under 2 minutes. Ultimately, my favorite tecnique has been to use a mixed darker shade on my top lip and a mixed lighter shade on my bottom lip with a blended dot of the lightest color in the middle of my bottom lip. I haven't used any lip-liner with this product but instead I carefully line my lips with this (again, you can mix shades) which works well because of the narrow applicator.
I rarely review anything, but I really love this product and hope that it stays on the market. Since my local supplier is stocking less of it I've been concerned and have tried other similar products. Two had gloss instead of a stick for an overcoat and were very sticky and the other was only one-step but felt tacky and strange and I didn't like the color. I just browsed a high-end makeup site and couldn't find any products that resembled this one at all! It seems like such an amazing product that L'Oreal has invented that I was surprised that their parent company wasn't making something similar for one of their expensive lines. For under $10 this is the best makeup bargain I've ever found!
