You do need to apply about two to three coats to even see the mascara. But unlike some mascaras, this one does not clump. This is probably the best thing about this mascara -it does lengthen, but does not clump. The lashes appear long, but very natural looking.
It claims to water resistant and it truly is. I need my waterproof remover to take off.
I do like the mascara but NO WAY is it worth the money. No WAY, NO DAY. I will not be re-purchasing, but will happily use the tube I have until it is done.
If this were half the price, I would buy in a heartbeat. Remember, a mascara tube is a petri dish for bacteria, so you need to replace it every three months. So at twenty five bucks, this is too expensive, especially when there are equally good and even better options for much less.
UPDATE:
Okay. I have been using this mascara every day now for almost two weeks. It is a superb mascara. It lives up to its claims and truly delivers. It is expensive and it will hurt my purse, but I am hooked and sold. I will buy this again.
So five stars for performance, and one star off for the high price.

I usually use lancome mascara which is great. I thought i would try something less expensive, and tried this. Although it is long lasting which is good, I overall did not like this mascara.Honest reviews on NARS Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara
Nars has great makeup products. This mascara is no exception. I found that it didn't flake or run as much as other brands. Pricey yes, but so worth it. It is hard to wash off however. A good eye makeup remover will be necessary.
