Physician's Formula Products have been a staple in my life for years. I don't know what I would do without them. These days the local outlets seem to carry only the powdered mineral products, so I was forced to order the cream/liquid foundation I always wear as the powdered mineral foundations are not attractive on me.
I have had no end of trouble with cosmetic allergies, and Physician's formula has never let me down. My main cosmetics consist of Physician's Formula and Burt's Bees products because of allergy problems. These two companies have always produced products that were safe for me. Occasionally I try other products, but I always return to those two because they are the least toxic I have found.
A few years ago I tried using a well-known European brand of cosmetics that were on the high end side. I thought everything was okay, except that I had a sinus infection that wouldn't go away. My skin looked great and people would stop me in stores to ask me what I was doing for it. My doctor tried everything to clear up the sinus infection, but it recurred immediately again and again after the antibiotics were stopped. She even tried infusions of antibiotics to no avail. This went on for a year. Then one day it dawned on me that it must be something I'm putting on my face. I stopped the high-end cosmetics, and within a few days my sinus infection cleared up on its own never to return. This is something I don't think the average person thinks about when they buy cosmetics, that they can absorb into your body through your skin.
My only complaint is that they don't make a foundation in my skin color, which is a light neutral. So I always mix the colors to get exactly what I want. I don't consider this to be a really big problem as the price is reasonable, and it all gets used up in the end.
