These paints have a good opacity and offer great coverage without having to go over-board multiple coats. I've used MAC airbrush colors in the past and although to color mixing is good you end up using a lot of product to get the right amount of coverage. I felt that the Vibe paints did a great job of basing things out quickly; however I did find that trying to do touch-up with a paint brush gave less than stellar results.
I also liked their pleasant eggnog scent, a welcome change to the nostril-clogging scent of silicone oil from other airbrush colors I've used. They're also water based paints which means easy clean up.
I haven't had a chance to see if the colors mix well and that will be the deciding factor for me as to whether or not these will be a staple in my kit. I did find some of the colors to be a little more viscous than I would like. I'd like to play around with them to see if they can be thinned down enough to be used at a lower PSI.
These paints will definitely be a part of my kit but further experimentation is required before I say these are my go-to airbrush colors. They are nice colors and easy to work with paints but not worth 70 bucks. A waste of money really. When you think about it 1 ounce is just a tiny amount the bottles are barely an inch tall. Really sad I spent that much money on the paints.
