I was a makeup artist for many years and I have not come across another product like this one.I have worked with very high-end products such as MAC, but I must say (in my opinion), this is better than MAC creams. Benefit Cream Shadow does not crease, does not fade, does not turn into powdery flakes, does not lose its luster and sheen. All day long, it stays put and stays true.
I use this as a base for powder eye shadows as well. I used to use Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and to be totally honest, this is better as a base because it keeps the eyeshadow on your lids and intensifies the color to make it pOp! Shadow Insurance was supposed to do that, but this does it BETTER! If you're looking for a primer or base, I would highly suggest this product in a neutral shade. Or if you want to create some depth and dimension, you can use a medium-toned color cream and apply some darker powders over it.
It's SUPER EASY to use this product, to make smokey eyes and to blend with a soft crease brush. Many people have said that they use their fingers which is great, but if you want a flawless, faded smokey look, I would suggest using a fluffy but stiff brush.
Truly an outstanding product. Truly worth every single penny. In my opinion,don't waste your money on inferior products. Do it right the first time to actually save your money and unnecessary frustration.

The color of this eye shadow is beautiful, I have no doubt this is a great product.My problem is the AGE of the product, I don't know how long it has been in the storage, the cream eye shadow is kinda dried out... I could hardly spread it evenly..
I would recomment buying it from a real store that has a relatively high turn-over rate...

I just bought two of these colors (Skinny Jeans and Gossip) and love them! You can apply them with either your fingertip or a regular eyeshadow brush, and they are so pretty and easy to use. The directions state that you can also layer a color to get it to be darker; after applying a first layer, let it set for 30 seconds, then go back and apply a second layer for a richer effect.I also make sure to use a primer underneath to have them last longer. (Too Faced's Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay's Primer Potion work great.)
As for the actual colors, these two are very versatile. Skinny Jeans is a lovely gray; I wanted a pretty gray eye shadow for fall -and this fits the bill perfectly! Used on its own, it creates a light smokey eye for daytime, and some heavy black eyeliner smokes it out more for evening. Gossip is a nice pinkish neutral.
This is my first time using them, and I may need to add more to my collection!
UPDATE ON 2/21/11: I just watched an amazing tutorial with Lisa Eldridge (if you search her name and "Quick Smokey Eye" you'll find it) that makes doing a smokey eye with these so easy. I tried it last night with Skinny Jeans and then a dab of Gossip on top, and it looked great and lasted all night!

I am disappointed after all the good reviews of this. This not a creamy white as I expected, but a goldish shimmer, which definitely does not work for older eyes. If you want a gold shimmer, better than this is Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme, in #13 Golden Sands. I have 3 of them and Im so hooked. I'm for sure buying more. I use a primer underneath and they stay on all day without creasing. They are an amazing base under eyeshadows! They are really soft, creamy, and pigmented!
