I bought this at Macy's, and you have to purchase perfume only in order to purchase the make-up set. I don't use their perfume, nor did I have anyone to give it to, so I spent $85 at least in order to get both. There is no mascara at all in this kit, which is one of the best things they put in these. The lipsticks are ok, I like one of them a lot, the others are just ok, very average colors. The lip gloss is nice, and you will need it to help the lipsticks. The blushes are nice. The eyeshadows are not great, small, and could have been better colors for a kit like this. The eyeliners are TERRIBLE. Lancome, Almay, anyone would make better ones than these. The case is actually quite nice, and the mirror and cosmetic purse, just would have loved them to do less with the cases and stick a mascara in there. Every year I debate on getting their sets, but for the money I paid, I was disappointed.

I got this product for Christmas of 2010 and love it! The eye shadow palette is amazing, and has some of my favorite colors. The lipsticks stay on all day and look amazing, the blushes and bronzer palette is great, the brushes are soft and cute, the lip gloss duo goes on smooth and isn't really sticky, and the travel case, mirror, and makeup bag are a cute addition. The eyeliners (gray, soft smudge black, and brown) last for about a year, and go on smoothly. I strongly recommend this product!

I got this set with a fragrance purcahse. I had to pay $40 extra for it so with thrfragrance purcahse, I probably spendt another $70. Not avalaible now. Pretty good set but I would mayb pay a little less than advertized. The eyeshadow set is the best.

This is one of those items where you have to shop around to get the best value (which means checking some department store Web pages). I am surprised that the other reviewer was disappointed with Macy's as Macy's was offerring an additional gift with purchase, but maybe the timing of the purchase was wrong (timing can be everything). The rule of most department stores was an additional Estee Lauder purchase, and most allowed mascara as the additional purchase. One sometimes has to search the Web for the best deal.

The actual set is very nice for the price. I use these for gifts. You do get a lot for the money, and sometimes can orchestrate additional gifts with purchase, depending on the particular store.
