Wow! I have ordered make-up brushes from Amazon many times, both for myself, and as gifts for friends! I have never been so pleased with a brush set! To start, the packaging is beautiful, durable, and is much easier to travel with than the simple black wrap. The other big things for me are 1) it has no strange smell. I have ordered some that arrive smelling of gasoline. It was awful. and 2) the quality of the brushes themselves makes me think of MAC. They have hardly shed, they are the perfect blend of softness and firmness, and when I cleaned them, no color or dye ran off with the water. The selection of brushes themselves are really good. Nice range of sizes and my make up goes on beautifully, my one request would be a better eyeliner brush (for when you use a shadow as a liner). Super happy with this purchase, I would definitely recommend them to those who want quality brushes at an affordable price.

I was very excited to finally be purchasing these brushes. I realized a while back that I needed a decent set as my interest in makeup flourished. After searching amazon for makeup brush sets I narrowed it down to coastal scents 22 pc set and this set. I really wanted this one at first but I just felt it would be too much money at the time so I went with what was cheaper (the coastal scents set). So I finally decided to go out on a limb and buy them this past Friday. I was out of town at the time and by the time I arrived back home Monday they were here waiting for me. As I said I was really excited because I've wanted them for a long time plus this set had to be one of very few if any sets that got nothing but rave reviews. I just have to say that I was really disappointed with this purchase and the people who've supposedly written reviews on this product must have been planted and paid to say what they said about it or very easily impressed. The case smelled of strong chemicals. It sorta resembles the smell you would experience when you go into a payless, yes new shoe smell. I don't normally complain of smells because I think pretty much all of the cases smell and it's not a deal breaker for me because what really matters is how the brushes themselves are.Right away while checking out the fan brush it was shedding like crazy and so did the others. I noticed that my dual side brush was practically shatter on the brush side and a bunch of bristles were missing from it. The brushes are more flimsy than they should be. Also the handles are wooden which poses a problem after washes because if water touches it too much the handles will spit over time. I was surprised how poorly made these brushes were considering the price and all the hype Shany provides for it in the description. If these are some of their best made brushes I would hate to see their worst. I was also excited to purchased from Shany because I purchased the ultimate fusion eyeshadow palette from them a while back and was very impressed with how lovely the colors were and how highly pigmented they were. So yeah I figured they probably made awesome makeup brushes too. I was so wrong and Shany really let me down this time. I am in the process of returning the item for a full refund. So buyers beware. This product is not what they say it is. Save your money and buy a set worth buying. My coastal scents although cheaper is much better than this set and has every brush you'll ever need. I was very hesitant to purchase these brushes, being there were no reviews. But I received these very fast. Great quality brush. I LOVE THE HOT PINK HANDLE ON THEM, and I LOVE THE CASE THEY CAME IN. its like a red-ish purple color and its super cute.brushes are bigger than I expected which is exactly what i was hoping for.VERY VERY SOFT!
