I love the feel of this lip gloss in pencil form it glides on smoothly and the color is more like a lipstick than a sheer gloss. The size is perfect to take in my purse, but because the color is less sheer, and because it is a pencil, I definitely need a mirror to apply it unlike more traditional lip glosses. I own this in Baroque, which is a flattering shade of red (not too bright) with a slight golden shimmer, and New Lover, which is a little too pink in tone for me.
The downside to this product is that it does not last long. In fact, it wears off rather quickly, even when I'm not eating or drinking. And Baroque leaves behind pigment residue, making it very obvious that your once fabulous lipshade has now worn off. You will need a larger sharpener to sharpen this lip pencil, too. And because it is a gloss and not a traditional pencil, sharpening it can be tricky as the product is not as firm. I have had success placing this product in the freezer for a few minutes to firm it up before sharpening; then clean your sharpener before using it to sharpen anything else!
Overall, while I enjoy the color and feel of this product, I would not buy it again in the future due to it's short wear time and the comparative cost.

I have to be very careful when applying this color--it always seems like the first pass doesn't quite get enough color, but then fifteen minutes later I'll see myself in the mirror and it can almost look like I over-applied if I'm not careful. I think it's because it's a gloss instead of an opaque lip color, but it can be deceptively light, and I think it takes a little while for the full effect to really work itself out. Still, it's a gorgeous color. I haven't had to sharpen mine yet; I know that's a complaint on beauty blogs, but when I do, I plan to freeze it for a few minutes to try to reduce wastage.

I really like this gloss pencil. The shade Frivolous is a near-perfect match for my natural lips, so it's great for a low-key glossy lip. It is a pain to sharpen if you don't already have a sharpener that can accommodate the size of the pencil, but I didn't lose too much product when sharpening personally. The formula is sheer and moisturizing. Of course it doesn't last too long if you're eating/drinking since it is a gloss, but it's not at all sticky and I like the shade selection.

Nars makes the best lip pencils period. This shade of rose is a gorgeous bright pinkish red. I has a high gloss effect but wears well. Love it!

This is a great product, however, they don't mention that you have to have their $12 sharpener. I've heard that if you use other sharpeners it ruins the product. So while I love the color and the way it applies/feels, it's way overpriced.
