I have used a sponge and a foundation brush with this product. I prefer the brush. Work quickly before it "sets". If you do not like shine use powder over the top. If you have red cheeks or acne the product lasts a couple of months. If you have a clear complexion the product will last almost half a year. This is based only on my personal experience. If you have very sensitive skin this is perfect. I will not use anything else.Jane Iredale Liquid Mineral foundation is remarkable. Goes on like silk! It's expensive, but worth it. Would definitely buy again.
