My girls both got a set of these for Christmas and they loved them. the only problem is that we had to hot glue the brushes back on to the handles because they all kept coming off. Other than that they are great.

bought this set as a gift for my daughter. It looks very nice but until she uses it I can't say how well they perform. Overall look is great and the price was terrific. Quick ship as well. Wish it came boxed but at first look I am very pleased with the purchase

After looking at expensive Sephora and other brush sets, I realized I don't use makeup THAT often and really just needed something with decent brushes, and preferably a case or roll to put them in. At first I was thinking Ecotools, but by the time all the brushes I wanted would be purchased, it would be 45 dollars or so. I bought this set on sale for about twenty dollars. (19.99). For that cost it is a good price.

The good:

The brushes seem to be fairly good quality. They aren't fantastic (my essence of beauty tools from CVS are better as far as holding pigment it seems, but they are old and I couldn't find more to replace them). The handles seem fairly well attached to the brush heads, and there is a variety of tools from which to use. However, in using the eyeshadow brushes, there is not a variety in shapesthere are 4 regular shaped eyeshadow brushes (not sure how else to describe, as I'm not a makeup artist) in varying sizes. In the past I had a conical shaped brush and an angled eyeliner brush that I liked quite a bit, and those shapes are missing from this set. Luckily I didn't throw those brushes away and will clean and put in the kit.

The bad:

The case is terriblecheap faux leather, smells like cheap plastic, and the interior has smelly, flimsy plastic flaps instead of the velvet described. The case is that type of faux leather that will start to crack and "shed" over time, so I'm anticipating having to purchase another roll for the brushes. That's too bad, because a big part of the reason I purchased this kit was for the roll, and it is sub-par.

Overall: a good buy for 19.99 but I wouldn't pay the listed amount right now (37.99). If I had it to do over I probably would have purchased ELF's makeup brushes (12 for 12 dollars) and just bought a makeup roll to put them in.

This brush set is OK for the price but could have been made a little better. the case is a poorly made with a cheap horrible smelling plastic that is extremely strong, the brushes are hard on your face( on a scale of 1-10 on hardness I give it a 6.5)and It sheds a little, Ive used it 3 times so far and it would shed every time, I wouldn't recommended this to anyone! save your money don't waste your time.
